Recent India Ministry Team Report

By Eddie Smith

God did so many incredible things while our team was with Sister Lilly, and our ministry in Golaville, India. Your gifts enabled us to distribute two suitcases full of medicines; 300 Bibles, 12 bicycles, travel bags, a sound system, an electric megaphone, two fans, and six rechargeable lights for evangelists and pastors to use to conduct their meetings.

Team Leader Robert Smith says, "I can’t begin to convey the impact the medicine had on the people. We sat on a rooftop, passing out medicines for three hours one day. This was the first time they have had access to such a broad range of medicines."

In addition to meeting physical needs, our team spoke in village churches that had never had guest speakers, and have had little outside teaching. They also spoke at a local leadership conference to many women evangelists and cell group leaders; local pastors and evangelists who’ve joined forces with Sister Lilly and Eternal Life Ministries. Over and over the people said, ‚Äö√Ñ√∫Thank you for your precious words and teaching to the people here. We have never heard teaching like this before.‚Äö√Ñ√π

Our team prayed for hundreds of people in many differentkinds of need. The people in Golaville are hungry for a touchfrom God. Many need physical healing. God deeply touched many and we’re still receiving reports of those physically healed.

Sister Lilly wrote, "The healing prayers by Brother Robert Smith, Carol Pauwels, Bryan Smith, Robby Smith and Laura Murrell have brought great results in healing many children and men and women."

After their departure when we came home fromthe airport, the people welcomed us and shared their testimonies how they were healed and they have ‘a newness’ in them, they said!

"We plan to conduct free medical clinics in the days ahead inthe villages with the medicines you have given. There is a great need of medicine for the suffering people."

Team member Laura Murrell reports: "The biggest health problem was malnutrition. Many of them get only one meal a day consisting of rice and whatever meat they can find, if any.

"We ran out of vitamins and iron about halfway through dispensing medication. Sister Lilly has about 20 satellite churches of about 30 to 50 people each, and herministry is still growing. They were truly thankful for our being there and they are starving for more teaching.

"Thank you so much for your prayers and contributions. We are getting reports from Sister Lilly of prayers being answered every day, and how much it meant to the people that we came."

Alice and I thank you for helping us send this team and equipping them with the provisions they were able to take.

We also thank the team for their sacrificial service. They are Carol Pauwels, a board and office staff member; Robert Smith, our eldest son and VP of Operations; Robby, his 15-year-old son; Bryan Smith, our younger son and Houston businessman; and Laura Murrell, a freshman at Texas A&M, a beautiful young lady with a heart for missions.
